Ireland, the 1970s. Joe and Kate Ruttledge return from London to live in a small rural community. They quickly become close friends with many of the older men and women living in the area. Over the course of a year, Joe and Kate grapple with major life decisions, while also witnessing their neighbours’ moments of joy, disappointment, conflict and loss.
New members can join up at our first screening - cost €20.00 for the year.

Classes run for 9 Mondays with a show on the 10th night.

MUSIC

AJA are an 8 piece band that replicate the original recordings of Steely Dan. They have been performing these classic songs for over 13 years, with the original guitar, brass, keyboard solos and vocal harmonies as true as possible to the original album recordings.
The band features: John Graham (vocals), Sinead Stone (vocals), Gerard Farrelly (keys), Colm Lindsay (guitar), Tommy Moore (bass/vocals), Serge Stavila (sax), Mark Wilde (sax), and Alan Cunningham (drums).

FESTIVALS
Friday 20th Sept 2024 - 6pm
To celebrate Culture Night 2024 we will be running an Art Competition for children aged from 5 years to 12 years. The Theme is “Embracing Our Differences”.
Your entry can be in any media (paint, pencils, crayons, collage, print, etc) but has to be A4 size. Please print Child’s Name and Age, Parent or Guardian’s Name & Contact Number on the back.
Artwork must be handed in to Kathleen Farrell’s Art Studio on Chapel Street, Carrick-on-Suir by 5pm on Friday 13th September.
Entries will be judged in two age categories : 5-8 yrs and 9-12 yrs and the winners will be announced at 8pm on Culture Night.
We will also have a film screening at 6pm - the Ukrainian animation “Mavka – The Forest Song”
