FILM - "The Quiet Man"
In an attempt to escape his past, Sean Thornton (John Wayne) returns to America to reclaim
his homestead. Once he is home, his eye is caught by Mary (Maureen O'Hara), a poor maiden
with an ill-tempered older brother named Will. Their relationship is constantly on attack by
Will (Victor McLaglen), which forms the main plot line, with Sean's past as the undercurrent.

MUSIC - "Edel Meade"
Award-winning vocalist, Edel Meade is one of Ireland's brightest, emerging, young jazz singers.
With her unmistakable charm and beautiful voice, she has been disarming audiences across Ireland,
Canada, New York, Chicago and Denmark in recent years. Edel will be performing a selection of
classic jazz standards from the Thirties and Forties; songs made famous by the likes of Ella
Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee.

FILM - "The Hundred Foot Journey"
Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) is an extraordinarily talented and largely self-taught culinary
novice. When he and his family are displaced from their native India and settle in a quaint French
village, they decide to open an Indian eatery. However, Madame Mallory (Helen Mirren), the
proprietress of an acclaimed restaurant just 100 feet away, strongly objects. War erupts between
the two establishments, until Mallory recognizes Kadam's impressive epicurean gifts and takes him
under her wing.
