Hugh Leonard has a well-deserved reputation for writing beautifully crafted deeply moving, “warts and all” plays about families.

Love in the Title is part of that tradition but in his final performed play he allows himself a unique perspective on the relationship between a grandmother, a daughter and a granddaughter.

This is the play for anyone who has ever looked at their parent or their grandparent and wondered what they were really like when they were young.

We are very lucky with our cast in this production, featuring Jane Tennyson in her Brewery Lane “grown up” debut returning to the fold for the first time since her first taste of theatre work with Tom Nealon’s youth workshops.

Jane is joined by award winning Brewery Lane actress Aileen O’Keeffe. Aileen was recently presented with the award for best comedy performance at the Green Room Awards in the Theatre Royal Waterford for her role in last year’s Brewery Lane production of Noel Coward’s Present Laughter.

Our trio is completed by Suzanne Shine an award-winning actor and director who has previously worked with Brewery Lane in both capacities. Suzanne’s other work in Carrick includes a number of very successful collaborations with Linda Fahy and the Tudor Artisan Hub.

The production is directed by Maria Clancy better known up to now for appearing on stage herself.

Don’t miss out on this heart warming and entertaining evening in Brewery Lane in the company of our Cat, Triona and Katie.
